About: Ricki Lake and Abby Epstein's widely influential documentary, The Business of Being Born, has been adapted for college and university classroom viewings and will be screened at UNH. The half-hour screening will be followed by an expert panel discussion addressing issues from a variety of perspectives:
  • Gene Declercq, PhD from Boston University
  • Abby Epstein, Director of The Business of Being Born
  • Dr. Betsy Chase, Ob/Gyn Garrison Women's Health Center
  • Julie Bosak, CNM Garrison Women's Health Center
  • Valerie Jacques, RN, CPM Coastal Birthing Center

The half-hour screening will be followed by an hour-long Q and A discussion with Ricki Lake, Abby Epstein, Dr. Suzanne Gelberg-Lenz, MD, and Kellie Martin.
